Todavía hay pequeñas joyas desconocidas que pueden ser encontradas incluso por los nombres más grandes y famosos de la historia de la música. Este encantador y breve dúo en dos movimientos hará las delicias de los flautistas: ninguna de las partes de flauta es técnicamente muy exigente y, por lo tanto, es ideal como material didáctico sencillo. La dedicatoria “para el amigo Degenharth” (un abogado del círculo cercano de amigos de Beethoven) deja abierta la cuestión de si fue un encargo o un regalo. La obra no se publicó en vida de Beethoven, pero el autógrafo ha sobrevivido. Esta edición sigue el texto musical de la edición completa de Beethoven y ofrece Urtext en la calidad habitual de Henle.

Por lo tanto, es lógico que, además del violín y el violonchelo, también pensara en aprovechar de esta manera el carácter melódico típico de la flauta.
Mediante el uso hábil de acordes rotos, logra incluso crear la ilusión de polifonía. Pronto queda claro que las cantilenas líricas de Bach convencen incluso sin el apoyo de acordes de acompañamiento en un instrumento de teclado. ¡Un punto culminante en la literatura sobre flauta!

Like his father J S Bach, C P E Bach chose the key of A minor for his only compositon for solo flute but it’s structure is quite different to that of Bach senior.

Like J. S. Bach’s Partita in A minor (BWV 1013), the sonata edited here is considered one of the most important works for solo flute of the eighteenth century. In contrast to J. S. Bach’s composition which still represents the traditional, polyphonic and figurative style, the work of the young Bach displays great sensitivity and, occasionally, an almost romantic expressiveness.

This new edition of C. P. E. Bach’s Sonata in A minor is based on a copy in the anthology «Musikalisches Mancherley»; the editor owes his thanks to the Zurrich Central Library.

La pieza, que se estrenó bajo el título La flûte de Pan, fue compuesta en 1913 como música incidental para un poema dramático de Gabriel Mourey. En la escena central, Pan toca una flauta de caña, que en realidad es la ninfa Siringe. Pan, sin embargo, es invisible para las otras ninfas y para el público. Para reflejar la situación escénica, el dedicatario Louis Fleury solía tocar la pieza detrás de una pantalla cuando la tocaba en concierto. Jobert no lo publicó hasta 1927, tras la muerte de Debussy; su popularidad se ha mantenido insuperable hasta el día de hoy.

]]> Piece Pour Flute Seule https://acentto.cl/producto/piece-pour-flute-seule/ Thu, 31 Mar 2022 18:41:38 +0000 https://acentto.cl/?post_type=product&p=99949 Composed in 1936 by Jacques Ibert (1890-1962), a neoclassical composer who won the Prix de Rome in 1919, Pièce for Solo Flute was premiered by Marcel Moyse. This publication was written in three movements in two contrasting themes. The first theme is a slow lyrical melody compared to the second one which is much faster. The third movement of Pièce for Solo Flute brings back the first theme again but with more ornamentation this time.

Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) also composed many symphonic suites, operas and seven orchestras, including ‘Angelique’ (1926) and ‘Divertissement’ (1930). He also was in charge of the Académie de France in the Villa Médicis (Roma) and was later administrator for the Paris Opera.

]]> Twelve Fantasias for Flute Solo TWV 40:2-13 https://acentto.cl/producto/twelve-fantasias-for-flute-solo-twv-402-13/ Thu, 16 Jun 2022 15:01:10 +0000 https://acentto.cl/?post_type=product&p=101565 Aside from the Partita in a minor by Johann Sebastian Bach (HN 457) and the Sonata in a minor by his son Carl Philipp Emanuel (HN 555), it was also mainly Telemann’s 12 Fantasias that enriched the solo flute repertoire in the first half of the 18th century. Telemann’s cycle evidently had a great influence on the flautist’s world. The composer had his Fantasias published in 1727 (he might even have engraved the edition himself). The work was soon considered to be exemplary and caught on. Our edition is based on Telemann’s print, which we have also reproduced as a facsimile in the edition. The flute expert Rachel Brown has provided a commentary with details regarding performance practice.
