The original version of Suite bergamasque for piano was partially orchestrated by André Caplet in 1927 (Clair de Lune), then by Gustave Cloez (Prélude, Menuet, Passepied), for the choreographed version requested by the Compagnie du Marquis de Cuevas.
The ballet was performed worldwide between 1953 and 1958, under the name of “L’Ange gris“.
